Made-to-Measure Plantation Shutters
Measured by us, fitted by us, and priced clearly before you decide. Choose Express for a faster UK-made order, or Plan & Save for a better price.
Why Choose Us
Why homeowners choose Shutters Design
A good shutter job starts before anything is ordered. We check the windows, find the right solution, price the work clearly, and fit the shutters ourselves.
One team, start to finish
The same family team handles the survey, measuring, fitting, and aftercare. If something needs adjusting afterwards, you call us directly.
Two ways to order
Express is built for speed, with UK-made shutters and a shorter lead time. Plan & Save is built for value, with a longer lead time and a better price.
Made to last
Polycomposite is waterproof and provides better thermal and noise insulation through metal insertions inside the louvres and frame. Hardwood is lighter real basswood for larger panels in dry rooms.
Honest advice, room by room
The right shutter depends on the room. We talk through privacy, light control, moisture, and insulation so the final choice is practical.
Shutter Styles
Find the right style for each room
The right style depends on the window, the room, and how much privacy or light control matters. These three styles cover the most common choices, with more specific options available for bays, bifolds, shaped windows, tracked doors, and solid panels.
Shutter Range
Two materials, two ways to order
Both materials are made to measure. Polycomposite is waterproof for wet or humid rooms. Metal insertions inside its louvres and frame provide better thermal and noise insulation than Hardwood. Hardwood is lighter real basswood for dry rooms and larger panels. Express is the faster route, while Plan & Save offers a lower price.

Frequently Asked Questions
Start with the questions that matter before you choose: price, material, style, timing, fitting, and where to go if you already own the shutters.
The total depends on window size, style, material, and how you order. We price standard shutters per square metre: Express Polycomposite is £315/sqm, Express Hardwood is £380/sqm, and Plan & Save is £260/sqm for both materials. All three rates include VAT, the home survey, supply and fitting. Bays, tier-on-tier panels, shaped windows, and tracked doors need a survey before we can price them properly. Our pricing guide explains what changes a quote.
Book a free home survey through our contact page or by phone. We measure the openings, discuss the material, style and panel layout, then prepare a written quotation for the agreed specification. No deposit is taken at the survey.

British-made Express usually takes 2-3 weeks from survey to fitting. Plan & Save is made overseas to the same specification and usually takes 8-9 weeks. Shaped work and complex tracked systems can take longer. Our buying guide explains the order process from survey to fitting.
