Why Choose Us
Why Surrey homeowners choose us
A good shutter job starts before anything is ordered. We check the windows, find the right solution, price the work clearly, and fit the shutters ourselves.
One team, start to finish
The same family team handles the survey, measuring, fitting, and aftercare. If something needs adjusting afterwards, you call us directly.
Two ways to order
Express is built for speed, with UK-made shutters and a shorter lead time. Plan & Save is built for value, with a longer lead time and a better price.
Made to last
The finish needs to last as well as the fit. Our shutters use high-quality materials with a durable painted finish, and Polycomposite adds waterproofing, reinforcement, and better insulation.
Honest advice, room by room
The right shutter depends on the room. We talk through privacy, light control, moisture, and insulation so the final choice is practical.
Plantation shutters for Wimbledon Village conservation homes
Wimbledon Village is mostly period terraces: Victorian and Georgian sash fronts around the High Street, Church Road and The Ridgway, much of it inside the Village conservation area, with the larger detached houses sitting up near the Common. A lot of that stock is multi-pane painted or stock-brick terrace, the sort of window the council itself flags as worth protecting from unsympathetic PVCu.
Shutters go on the inside, so they usually sit outside the rules that cover the front elevation. Tall Village sashes suit tier on tier or cafe style: privacy at street level without losing the light. If your home is listed we will point you to the council to confirm first, then spec the shutters to keep the original proportions right either way.
Shutters for Wimbledon Park and Broadway family homes
Away from the Village the brief changes. The bay-fronted houses around Wimbledon Park, Arthur Road and Bathgate Road want full height shutters measured to the exact bay angles, which rarely sit on a tidy 90 degrees. The newer apartments off Worple Road and around the Broadway want a cleaner, lower-maintenance finish.
That two-sides split is the real Wimbledon job: period-correct Hardwood for the protected Village windows, practical Polycomposite for the harder-working family rooms. We work it out at the survey, window by window, rather than forcing one style on the whole house.
Hardwood vs Polycomposite shutters for Wimbledon windows
Hardwood gives real timber character and suits dry living rooms and bedrooms, including the tall front sashes where a tighter louvre keeps the period look. Polycomposite is waterproof and reinforced, so it is the better fit for bathrooms, kitchens, and busy family rooms. Most Wimbledon homes end up with a mix, and we recommend room by room.
You can see recent installations in our gallery, then we talk through what actually works for your windows at the visit.
Wimbledon shutter survey, prices and lead times
We price by the square metre, so the cost tracks the size of your windows. Express is £315/sqm in Polycomposite, £380/sqm in Hardwood. Plan & Save is £260/sqm either way. The survey is free, there is no deposit until you order, and we confirm the exact pricing in writing before you commit.
Express shutters are UK-made and usually fitted in about 2 to 3 weeks. Plan & Save, made overseas to the same spec, takes around 8 to 9 weeks. Hardwood carries a 5-year guarantee and Polycomposite a 10-year guarantee.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, the whole of Wimbledon, from the Village and the Common through Wimbledon Park and the Broadway, and out towards Raynes Park. Local surveys and fitting visits come with no travel charge.
Usually yes. The Village conservation area covers much of the older stock around the High Street, Church Road, The Ridgway and Lingfield Road. Shutters are an interior fitting, so they normally sit outside the rules on the elevation. If your home is listed we will point you to the council to confirm first, then spec the shutters to suit the original sashes.
Most often tier on tier or cafe style on tall sashes, full height across bays. On front elevations in the Village we tend to recommend a tighter louvre so the proportions stay sympathetic to the original window. We confirm at the survey, every window is different.
From £260/sqm on Plan & Save, or £315/sqm for UK-made Express Polycomposite, with Hardwood at £380/sqm, all confirmed free at the survey. Express fits in about 2 to 3 weeks, Plan & Save around 8 to 9 weeks.
