Plantation Shutters in Sutton
Bespoke plantation shutters across SM1 and SM2 Sutton, from the Victorian terraces around Cedar Road through the 1930s family streets along Brighton Road and the larger detached homes through Belmont.
Family-run design, measuring, and installation by the same team. Both Hardwood and Polycomposite are available on Express or Plan & Save; we recommend the material by room conditions and whether real timber character matters.

Why Choose Us
Why Surrey homeowners choose us
A good set of shutters is only half the job. The rest is who measures them, who fits them, and whether the price was fair. Here is how we work across Surrey and South West London.
One team, start to finish
No subcontractors. The people who measure your windows are the people who fit them, and the same people you ring afterwards. We have been doing exactly this for over 15 years.
Two ways to order
In a hurry? Express shutters are UK-made and usually fitted in 2 to 3 weeks. Got a little time? Plan & Save takes around 8 to 9 weeks and uses the lower Plan & Save rate. Same survey, same fitters.
Made to last
Polycomposite is waterproof, reinforced, better insulated, and covered by a 10-year manufacturer guarantee. Hardwood gives real basswood character with the same premium painted finish and a 5-year manufacturer guarantee.
Honest advice, room by room
We recommend what suits the room and the way you use it. The material decision is not about price: both materials cost the same, so the advice stays practical.
The Sutton housing landscape
Sutton spans SM1 and SM2 and packs in a wide range of housing types in a compact area. We work across the Victorian terraces around Cedar Road, Lind Road, and the streets either side of Sutton High Street, the Edwardian villas through Christchurch Park and the Worcester Road area, the 1930s bay-fronted semis along Brighton Road, Banstead Road, and the Belmont rise, the larger detached homes through SM2 Belmont, and the apartment schemes around the town centre.
That mix matters for shutter design. A 1895 Victorian sash on Cedar Road needs different proportions from a 1932 bay-fronted semi on Brighton Road, and again from a 1970s detached home in upper Belmont. We measure each window individually and recommend the shutter layout, frame depth, and material that work for that opening.
Where shutters matter most in a Sutton home
Bay-fronted 1930s semis along Brighton Road, Banstead Road, and the Belmont rise are usually the first priority. Full-height shutters with hidden tilt on a 76mm louvre is the most common specification, with the angled bay reveals shaping the panels naturally.
Victorian terraces around Cedar Road and Lind Road are the second pattern. Tier-on-tier configurations work especially well on the tall ground-floor sashes, lower panels closing for street-level privacy while the upper panels stay open for light.
Family bathrooms and kitchens are the third priority across all Sutton property types. Polycomposite handles humidity cleanly and carries a 10-year manufacturer guarantee.
Common Sutton shutter projects
Whole-house schemes on the 1930s semis along Brighton Road, Banstead Road, and the Belmont rise are one of our most common Sutton project types. A typical project covers 8 to 11 windows, single-day fit, often a Polycomposite-led spec for the cleaner upkeep across a busy family household.
Victorian terrace fits around Cedar Road and Lind Road are the second pattern. 6 to 9 windows, mixed Hardwood / Polycomposite specification, with tier-on-tier on the front ground floor and full-height upstairs.
Belmont SM2 detached and large-semi fits are the third common project. 10 to 14 windows, full-height shutters the most common starting point, day to day-and-a-half fit.
From first visit to fitted shutters
The consultation is a single home visit, usually 45 to 60 minutes for a flat or terrace and 60 to 90 minutes for a Belmont detached home. We measure every window, bring physical samples of both ranges, and leave with a written specification and quote within a couple of working days. There is no obligation at the visit and no deposit until you confirm the order.
For town-centre apartments we coordinate access with the building manager in advance where required. Most Sutton installations are completed in a single day.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. The team covers the whole Sutton area, from SM1 (the town centre, Cedar Road, Christchurch Park) through SM2 (Belmont, the Brighton Road rise, and the streets towards Banstead). Surveys and installation visits within SM1 and SM2 are free of travel charge.
Full-height shutters with hidden tilt on a 76mm louvre are the most common specification across the Brighton Road and Banstead Road semis. Bay angles are measured precisely at the survey because the original bays rarely sit on the assumed 90 degrees.
Regularly. Tier-on-tier configurations work especially well on the tall sashes along Cedar Road, Lind Road, and the streets either side of Sutton High Street. The lower panels close for street-level privacy while the upper panels stay open for light.
Yes. The 1930s and post-war detached and large-semi homes through SM2 Belmont are one of our common Sutton project types. The bigger window counts and the consistent specification across the whole house are normal for these homes.
A 6 to 10 window Sutton home is normally fitted in a single day. Larger Belmont detached homes (10 to 14 windows) run a full day to a day and a half. We confirm the realistic estimate in writing before the date is booked.
