Why Choose Us
Why Surrey homeowners choose us
A good shutter job starts before anything is ordered. We check the windows, find the right solution, price the work clearly, and fit the shutters ourselves.
One team, start to finish
The same family team handles the survey, measuring, fitting, and aftercare. If something needs adjusting afterwards, you call us directly.
Two ways to order
Express is built for speed, with UK-made shutters and a shorter lead time. Plan & Save is built for value, with a longer lead time and a better price.
Made to last
The finish needs to last as well as the fit. Our shutters use high-quality materials with a durable painted finish, and Polycomposite adds waterproofing, reinforcement, and better insulation.
Honest advice, room by room
The right shutter depends on the room. We talk through privacy, light control, moisture, and insulation so the final choice is practical.
Plantation shutters for Epsom’s conservation-area and period homes
Epsom is a Surrey spa town, the home of Epsom salts, with the racecourse and the Derby up on the Downs. The housing reads the same way: late-Victorian villas, conservation streets, and a lot of original timber sash and bay windows. We fit shutters here that keep the proportions honest and the rooms light.
Worple Road is a conservation area of late-Victorian villas, and Woodcote is one of the town’s period conservation areas too. On streets like these we spec the shutter to suit the original window, not force one style on the whole house. We work that out at the survey, window by window, and you can see recent Epsom installations in our gallery.
Shutters for Epsom Downs, Woodcote and Stamford Green homes
Tall period sashes usually suit tier on tier or cafe style: privacy at street level without losing the light. Bay windows suit full height shutters, measured to the exact angles. The 1930s family streets towards Ewell take a clean full-height spec across the front bays.
Out on the Stamford Green and Epsom Common side, and across the Downs, the brief is often a whole-house scheme. We mix Hardwood in the dry living rooms and bedrooms for real timber character, and waterproof Polycomposite through the bathrooms and kitchens. We recommend room by room what actually works.
Hardwood and polycomposite shutters made for Epsom windows
Hardwood gives you real timber character and a five-year guarantee, which is why it fits so well in period reception rooms. Polycomposite is waterproof, reinforced, better for insulation, and carries a ten-year guarantee, so it earns its place in bathrooms, kitchens and busier family rooms.
We price by the square metre, so the cost tracks the size of your windows. Express is £315/sqm in Polycomposite, £380/sqm in Hardwood. Plan & Save is £260/sqm either way. You get a written quote with that pricing in plain figures, the survey is free, and there is no deposit until you order.
Booking a free Epsom home survey
The survey is a single home visit. We measure every window, bring physical samples of both ranges, and leave you with a written specification and clear pricing within a couple of working days. There is no obligation and no deposit until you confirm.
Express shutters are made in the UK and usually fitted in about 2 to 3 weeks. Plan & Save, made overseas to the same spec, takes around 8 to 9 weeks. If your home is in a conservation area or listed, shutters go on the inside so they usually sit outside the window rules, but we will point you to the council to confirm first and spec to suit the original windows either way.

Frequently Asked Questions
All of them: KT17 on the town centre and Ewell side, KT18 around Woodcote, College Road and the Downs, and KT19 on the Stamford Green and Epsom Common side. Local surveys and fitting visits come with no travel charge.
Usually yes. Shutters are an interior fitting, so they normally sit outside the rules that cover windows and doors. On conservation streets like Worple Road and Woodcote, or if your home is listed, we point you to the council to confirm first, then spec the shutters to suit the original sash and bay windows.
Most often tier on tier or cafe style on tall period sashes, and full height shutters across bay windows, measured to the exact angles. We confirm at the survey, because every window is different and old bays rarely sit at a true 90 degrees.
From £260/sqm on Plan & Save, or £315/sqm for UK-made Express Polycomposite, confirmed free at the survey with a written quote. Express fits in about 2 to 3 weeks, Plan & Save around 8 to 9 weeks.
