Plantation Shutters in Fulwell

Fulwell has a clear interwar character. North of Staines Road, much of the housing was laid out on the former Fulwell Estate in a Garden City style. Red brick, hipped roofs, Tudor-style details and double-height gabled bays give many streets a settled rhythm. Shutters work well here because they follow those strong window proportions without covering the original shape.
