Plantation Shutters in Oxshott
Bespoke plantation shutters across KT22, from the gated private roads off Sandy Lane and Warren Lane through the larger detached homes around Oxshott Heath and the Crown Pond village core.
Family-run design, measuring, and installation by the same team. Both Hardwood and Polycomposite are available on Express or Plan & Save; we recommend the material by room conditions and whether real timber character matters.

Why Choose Us
Why Surrey homeowners choose us
A good set of shutters is only half the job. The rest is who measures them, who fits them, and whether the price was fair. Here is how we work across Surrey and South West London.
One team, start to finish
No subcontractors. The people who measure your windows are the people who fit them, and the same people you ring afterwards. We have been doing exactly this for over 15 years.
Two ways to order
In a hurry? Express shutters are UK-made and usually fitted in 2 to 3 weeks. Got a little time? Plan & Save takes around 8 to 9 weeks and uses the lower Plan & Save rate. Same survey, same fitters.
Made to last
Polycomposite is waterproof, reinforced, better insulated, and covered by a 10-year manufacturer guarantee. Hardwood gives real basswood character with the same premium painted finish and a 5-year manufacturer guarantee.
Honest advice, room by room
We recommend what suits the room and the way you use it. The material decision is not about price: both materials cost the same, so the advice stays practical.
The Oxshott housing landscape
Oxshott sits in a tight corner of KT22 between Cobham and Leatherhead and is one of the most consistently detached-only housing stocks in Surrey. We work across the contemporary luxury homes on Sandy Lane, Warren Lane, and Garrards Drive, the larger Edwardian and 1920s detached properties around Stoke Road and the village core, and the private gated developments off Birds Hill and the south-side roads near Oxshott Heath.
That housing mix matters for shutter design. The right specification on a 1925 detached villa near Crown Pond is very different from what suits a 2022 contemporary glazed open-plan family pavilion on Warren Lane. We measure each window individually and recommend the shutter layout, frame depth, and material that work for that opening, not a stock template applied across the house.
Where shutters matter most in an Oxshott home
Principal reception rooms and bay-fronted morning rooms are usually the first priority, even on the more private roads. The plot sizes and set-backs offer some natural privacy, but louvre control still earns its place for solar control and daytime light shaping on south and west-facing rooms.
Master suites, dressing rooms, and ensuites are the second pattern we see most often. Polycomposite is the right call on the bathroom and ensuite side because it handles the humidity of larger steam-heavy showering spaces and carries a 10-year manufacturer guarantee.
Wide rear glazing on the contemporary luxury builds is the third priority. Tracked shutter runs sit on a top track across bifold or sliding doors that open onto the garden, sliding clear when the doors are open and closing flat for evening privacy across the full opening.
Common Oxshott shutter projects
Contemporary new-builds along Sandy Lane, Warren Lane, and Garrards Drive are one of our most common Oxshott project types. These tend to have very wide glazing, double-height windows, and bespoke proportions. We typically specify 89mm louvres with hidden tilt and L-frame profiles so the louvre face stays uninterrupted, with tracked configurations across the main entertaining-room glazing.
Larger whole-house schemes (Hardwood where real timber character matters in dry rooms, Polycomposite in wet or harder-working rooms) are the second regular pattern. Twenty to twenty-five windows is normal across the principal house plus pool house and gym pavilions. Manufacturing and fitting these usually runs over two or three days at the property.
Bay-fronted Edwardian and 1920s detached homes around the village core and Stoke Road are the third common project. Full-height shutters with hidden tilt on a 76mm louvre keeps the proportions sympathetic to the older windows and reads correctly from inside and out.
From first visit to fitted shutters
The consultation is a single home visit, usually 60 to 90 minutes for a typical Oxshott home and longer for the larger contemporary schemes. We measure every window, bring physical samples of both ranges, and leave with a written specification and quote within a couple of working days. There is no obligation at the visit and no deposit until you confirm the order.
For homes on the private gated roads we arrange any necessary access in advance and follow whatever access protocol the property prefers. Most installations are completed in one or two full days, with the largest whole-house plus pool-house schemes occasionally running into a third.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. The team covers the whole KT22 postcode, from the village core through Sandy Lane, Warren Lane, Garrards Drive, and the surrounding private roads near Oxshott Heath. Surveys and installation visits within KT22 are free of travel charge.
Regularly. The newer luxury builds across that part of Oxshott are some of our most common project types. We are comfortable with the bigger window counts (often 20 to 25 across the principal house and pool house), the wide entertaining-room glazing that usually needs a tracked configuration, and the longer fit days these homes need.
We confirm any access protocol in advance with the homeowner or estate management, including visitor passes, parking arrangements, and timing on the install days. Most Oxshott jobs are straightforward to access once the schedule is agreed.
Yes. The detached homes around Crown Pond, Stoke Road, and the village edge are a frequent project. The right specification is usually full-height shutters with hidden tilt on a 76mm louvre, sized so the frame and meeting rails match the original window proportions precisely.
A 6 to 10 window Oxshott home is normally fitted in a single day. Larger whole-house schemes on Sandy Lane, Warren Lane, or any home with a separate pool house or gym pavilion run into a second or occasionally third day, which we confirm in writing before the date is booked.
