Bay-fronted Edwardian and Victorian villas through the Ashley Park conservation area are usually the first priority. Full-height shutters with hidden tilt on a 76mm louvre keeps the proportions reading correctly, with tier-on-tier on the taller ground-floor sashes where daytime street privacy matters.

Riverside front rooms along Walton Bridge Road and Mount Felix are the second pattern. Cafe-style configurations work well for keeping towpath privacy while letting the river light through on the lower panels. Hardwood with hidden tilt is the typical recommendation.

The consultation is a single home visit, usually 45 to 60 minutes for a flat or semi and 60 to 90 minutes for an Ashley Park villa.
