Why Choose Us
Why Surrey homeowners choose us
A good set of shutters is only half the job. The rest is who measures them, who fits them, and whether the price was fair. Here is how we work across Surrey and South West London.
One team, start to finish
No subcontractors. The people who measure your windows are the people who fit them, and the same people you ring afterwards. We have been doing exactly this for over 15 years.
Two ways to order
In a hurry? Express shutters are UK-made and usually fitted in 2 to 3 weeks. Got a little time? Plan & Save takes around 8 to 9 weeks and uses the lower Plan & Save rate. Same survey, same fitters.
Made to last
Polycomposite is waterproof, reinforced, better insulated, and covered by a 10-year manufacturer guarantee. Hardwood gives real basswood character with the same premium painted finish and a 5-year manufacturer guarantee.
Honest advice, room by room
We recommend what suits the room and the way you use it. The material decision is not about price: both materials cost the same, so the advice stays practical.
The Walton-on-Thames housing landscape
Walton spans KT12 from the river up to Hersham and from the High Street out to Ashley Park. We work across the riverside houses along Walton Bridge Road and Mount Felix, the Victorian and Edwardian villas through the Ashley Park conservation area, the 1930s semis along Hersham Road and Burwood Road, and the newer detached and apartment schemes around Walton High Street and Mayfield Gardens.
That mix matters for shutter design. A 1900 Edwardian villa on Ashley Avenue needs different proportions from a 1935 bay-fronted semi on Hersham Road, which is different again from a 2015 apartment off Mayfield Gardens. We measure each window individually and recommend the shutter layout, frame depth, and material that work for that opening.
Where shutters matter most in a Walton home
Bay-fronted Edwardian and Victorian villas through the Ashley Park conservation area are usually the first priority. Full-height shutters with hidden tilt on a 76mm louvre keeps the proportions reading correctly, with tier-on-tier on the taller ground-floor sashes where daytime street privacy matters.
Riverside front rooms along Walton Bridge Road and Mount Felix are the second pattern. Cafe-style configurations work well for keeping towpath privacy while letting the river light through on the lower panels. Hardwood with hidden tilt is the typical recommendation.
Family bathrooms, kitchens, and rear extensions across the 1930s semis around Hersham Road and Burwood Road are the third priority. Polycomposite handles humidity cleanly and carries a 10-year manufacturer guarantee.
Common Walton shutter projects
Whole-house Hardwood schemes on the Edwardian villas through Ashley Park, Ashley Avenue, and Manor Road are one of our most common Walton project types. A typical project covers 9 to 13 windows over two storeys, with a mix of full-height in the bedrooms and tier-on-tier on the front reception bays.
Bay-fronted 1930s semi fits along Hersham Road, Burwood Road, and the streets either side of Walton High Street are the second pattern. 6 to 9 windows, often a Polycomposite-led spec across the whole house for the easy upkeep, single-day fit.
Apartment fits in the newer schemes around Mayfield Gardens and Walton High Street are the third common project. 3 to 6 windows per flat, face-fit Polycomposite to clear the shallow modern reveals, half-day to one-day fit.
From first visit to fitted shutters
The consultation is a single home visit, usually 45 to 60 minutes for a flat or semi and 60 to 90 minutes for an Ashley Park villa. We measure every window, bring physical samples of both ranges, and leave with a written specification and quote within a couple of working days. There is no obligation at the visit and no deposit until you confirm the order.
For the Ashley Park conservation area we confirm any consent requirements at the survey before manufacture. Most Walton installations are completed in a single day.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. The team covers the whole Walton area, from the riverside along Walton Bridge Road through the Ashley Park conservation area, Hersham Road, Burwood Road, and the family streets towards Hersham. Surveys and installation visits within KT12 are free of travel charge.
Yes. The Edwardian and Victorian villas through Ashley Park are one of our regular Walton project types. Internal shutters in non-listed homes do not usually require planning consent, but we confirm the situation at the survey, especially where the front elevation is visible from the conservation-area frontage.
Full-height shutters with hidden tilt on a 76mm louvre are the most common specification across the Hersham Road and Burwood Road semis. Bay angles are measured precisely at the survey because the original bays rarely sit on the assumed 90 degrees.
Regularly. The Mayfield Gardens and town-centre apartment schemes are a frequent Walton project type. Face-fit L-frames clear the shallow modern reveals, and Polycomposite suits the lower-maintenance brief in most flats.
A 6 to 10 window Walton home is normally fitted in a single day. Larger Ashley Park villas (10 to 14 windows) run a full day to a day and a half. We confirm the realistic estimate in writing before the date is booked.
